Popular in Roman Imperial times, as tabula, the game— and the pastime of playing it— spread across the known world. The Dallas Backgammon League has less grandiose goals: to increase the knowledge of, and the joy of playing, this beautiful game, locally.
Easy and simple to learn, difficult and challenging to master, backgammon is a game of skill, moderated by fortune and the player’s ability to balance strategy with probability. Once you understand the game’s depths, we’re confident you’ll become hooked.
